I am happy to cater for kids that don’t fit the usual mould.
I have presented to deaf high school students (with an interpreter) and allowed blind students to touch a bird (very special, as raptorial birds generally dislike being patted). I have had great responses from special needs and at risk kids who surprise their teachers with their attentiveness during the presentation. And gifted kids just love raptors, devouring facts and having a session longer than similar aged peers, just to get in all the questions and stuff they know about raptors that I don’t!
If you’ve got students who are a little different, let me know so that I can tailor the presentation to their needs.
